Kyle was born on Christmas Day, 1963, to a Squib mother and a Muggle father. It was only though pure determination on the part of his parents that they discovered that his strange abilities made him a wizard, a trait that they figured must have skipped a generation on a his mother's side. Kyle lost his mother when he was eleven years old and his father shortly after, leaving him an orphan at age 13. He was adopted by the Reardon family and has two siblings due to this: Grania and Toby.

At school, Kyle is mainly known due to his contributions to the Gryffindor Quidditch team and his being a Prefect. In class, he's generally quiet and attentive, and recieves relatively high marks, though some teachers may wish he volunteered answers more often. He's never docked points from anyone in his ongoing role as Prefect since he was made one in his fifth year, and some say he's a 'pushover'. His only notable incident of getting in trouble at school happened in his second year, when he attempted to break up a fight. He unwittingly broke the law of underage wizards using magic the summer of his first year, but it was in a threatening situation and he got off with only a warning.

If one listens to the rumor mill, there's only strange things to be heard about Kyle. He has a playful outlook towards life most of the time, and can be seen meditating with various creatures, mostly bugs. Those he spends time helping in the school infirmary as part of his Healing Arts credit are constantly forced to listen to religious murmurings and insistance that if they'd only focus more on positivity, they'd never fall ill in the first place. He's had several relationships, but the one people would remember was with Acacia, whom he'll swear he still loves to this day. A lucky few also know about the torch he carries for a certain auror.
